Height
Stand with a straight but relaxed posture, allowing for accurate measurements that reflect your natural form. Do not slouch. Avoiding stiffness will ensure a comfortable and well-fitted garment.
1 Stand against the wall with your back straight and your heels together. Ensure your shoulders are relaxed and your arms hang naturally by your sides.
2 Position your head so that it is level, with your eyes looking straight ahead. Avoid tilting your head up or down.
3 Make sure the back of your heels, buttocks, shoulders, and the back of your head are all in contact with the wall.
4 Have someone mark the highest point on your head against the wall using a flat object, such as a book or ruler. Alternatively, you can use a pencil to make a small mark.
5 Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the distance from the floor to the mark on the wall. Ensure the measuring tool is straight and perpendicular to the floor.
Chest and neck

Shoulder and forearm
Shoulder width - from the base of the neck to the shoulder joint.
Forearm circumference - at the widest part of the forearm.
Sleeve and wrist
Sleeve length - with the elbow slightly bent, from the shoulder point over the outer edge of the elbow to the wrist.
Wrist - measure the circumference of the wrist at its narrowest point.
Back
Back length - from the nape of the neck along the center of the back to the lower edge of the tape at the waist.
Back width - measured parallel from the base of one shoulder to the base of the other shoulder (with proper relaxed posture).
Waist and hips
Waist circumference - measure horizontally and snugly through the deepest waist indentation.
Hip circumference - place the tape measure parallel to the ground at the widest part of the hips (depending on the figure, at varying heights).
Front length to waist and bust height
Front length to waist - from the base of the neck, through the apex of the bust, to the lower edge of the tape at the waist.
Bust height - similar to the front length to the waist, but only to mark the apex of the bust.
Underbust and waist height
Underbust - measure the circumference just under the bust, where the bra band would typically sit.
Waist height - determine the height at which you want the waistline of the garment to rest, typically measured from the nape of the neck
Underbust to waist - measure vertically from the underbust to the waistline
Knee length and waist to the floor
Knee length - measure vertically from the natural waistline to the middle point on the knee
Waist to floor - measure vertically from the chosen waistline to the floor.
